Colorbond® steel is strong and durable, offering perfect protection against the extreme Aussie weather conditions. The zinc/aluminium alloy coating on Zincalume® and the steel base for Colorbond® steel roofing provide superior resistance to corrosion. Combined with a polyester primer and an exterior grade paint that’s baked on for a finish which resists cracking, chipping and peeling, these metal sheets are remarkably durable.
Colorbond® metal roof sheet comes in a variety of colours and also it weighs very light. These are purely lightweight compared to clay or concrete tiles. Because there is less weight overall sitting on top of the framework, there is less strain on the building, reducing the possibility of structural problems and damage.
Colorbond sheets are now available with Thermatech® paint technology for better thermal efficiency. Thermatech® technology helps to improve the overall insulation, keeping temperatures inside cooler during summer and warmer in winter.

BlueScope also warrants that the paint system on COLORBOND® steel will not flake or peel due to natural weathering for a period of up to 20 years* from the date of installation.
